LOL....
My personal story and confession ~ prior to becomming infected with Lyme disease and co-infections, I used to have some....we'll call bad habits. I drank alcohol on accasion, smoked cigarettes. After my tick exposure I had flu like sympoms that did not seem to ever leave, but what really concerned me was when I started having severe panic attacks. Never in my life prior to this had I experianced a panic attack, at first I thought I was having a heart attack. I started to notice that when I would indulge this seemed to trigger my most severe attacks, this was not your usual parinoia, but full blown panic attack. Well to make a long story a bit shorter, I made a decision to try to be as healthy as possible while fighting this illness. I stoped smoking everything, and did not consume alcohol again until just recently when I felt like I was healthy enough to have a few drinks. However I still restrict how much I consume.
Now this was my experiance, I would not expect eveyone to have the same symptoms and reactions as me. But I would suggest to do everything in your power to live as healthy as possible while being treated for this illness. This is not a quick fix, and it is very important to detox and cleanse your body of all toxins. I told myself if I ever fully regain my health, maybe I could once again enjoy some old habits.....but to be honest, I am suprised that I really don't miss them.
Best wishes
