hope this isnt TMI -Question But anyone having worse gas when detoxing

i was seeing this anti microbial guy that did the bio-resoance testing a few years back

he had a lady who prepared organic clean food and sold to his clients ; she was leaving town

so organized this little dinner for all of "their clients"

some had recovered quite well and some may have had lyme or just other microbes-parasites BUT they all were making light of the fact that one period of the detox they went through, everyone had horrible gas

mine seems to come from lower intestine-bowels and i believe this is where i had parasites-yeast infection

anyone care to add??

sorry thoughts just do not fit in brain..
this worse gas started when my gut started to do better and have regular BM's, so it must be a die off - detox phenomena

Hi mercury,

I really don't know.. When I first started eating broccoli that gave me gas.. But after eating broccoli I don't get the gas anymore..  

I am lactose-intolerant (have been most of my life) so if I eat anything that contains lactose I get bad smelling gas...  scool

Thanks deejavu; unfortunately mine does not discriminate with food, its omipresent;
which makes me think its a detox,

wish i had a dog i could blame it on.kidding :)

I have been having a lot of gas. I've been on an anti candida diet for months prior to starting abx so I don't think it's that (though I'm aware that abx can increase candida). I agree, I think detox causes it just like it causes swelling for me. I actually had an ultrasound yesterday to confirm that there were no organ issues causing the swelling in my stomach and the tenderness. The ultrasound tech told me that it's normal for people to have gas but for someone who hadn't eaten in 4 hours (had to in order to do the ultrasound) and who was laying down resting on the table, I sure had a ton of activity in my intestines. She said it looked like gas to her. So I'm guessing that is what it was and I didn't feel much different so I'm guessing it's due to the die off. I can say that having lyme and then doing a detox and trying to kill it, definitely presents in some bizarre symptoms that I didn't have before or symptoms I haven't had in many many years (like my swollen knee which I had surgery on in '96).

When I herx I have multiple BM's throughout the day. Not much each time but I'll go 6-8 times/day. My wife and I just think of it as my body's way of detoxing itself.

wow that isa good detoxing level, anything special you are doing to get those BM's or what do you attribute to

Usually if I overdo it exercise-wise or don't get enough sleep I'll have a day of herxing, that's about all I can attribute it too.

This week, I went from 40 degrees NJ to 85 degrees FL and I've been herxing big time all week. Others on the board here attribute this herxing to the sudden change in the weather. Makes sense because I went on a business trip to Chicago the week before and didn't suffer at all.

I drink a lot of water throughout the day and really try to listen to my body. As my acupuncturist says, I have to conserve energy in order to have the energy to fight of the Lyme. This really hit home with me as I have a tendency to overdo it when I'm feeling better. It's better to just ease into it gradually.
