I'm hoping someone can shed some light for me. I am finally having some better days every once in a while but every few days it seems like I have a new symptom kick in really bad for a few days and then calm down. Many of these symptoms I've had in the past, just maybe not as intense and in some cases not recently. Usually after 4-5 days the symptoms have calmed down and I don't notice them as frequently or at all. I've been on abx for almost 6 weeks now and when these symptoms first appear I get very anxious because if I let my fingers do some wondering on the interested, I can end up with some bad possible outcomes (but I realize that 99.9% of the time the symptoms are on Lyme and coinfection symptoms lists too).
Here's a few examples ...
A few days after starting abx, I got very weak (couldn't
open doors, hold my purse or
open a bottle). then better after 4-5 days.
A few days later my rt delt started to kill me and lumps appeared in the upper rt arm tissue (which have almost disappeared a few weeks later and no horrible pain for a few weeks).
A few days later my right arm rotator cuff area started hurting similar to when I tore it 27 years ago. But I hadn't done anything that would have caused any injury to it, not even slept on that side.
A few days later Pain and lumps appeared in the upper right quadrant of my stomach along with swelling. I had ultrasound and blood work done and all was normal and after about
4 days the swelling is almost gone and there is virtually no pain plus the lumps are almost all gone. (and my gallbladder was removed 4 years ago but this felt like the pain I had which prompted removal)
Three days ago I started to get pins and needles in both feet while standing. I've gotten them when sitting funny or for long periods of time but never while standing and in both feet at the same time. The same evening I started to wake up in the middle of the night with a damp shirt and pants (night sweats?). I don't remember getting those before but they came out of no where and for the past three nights I've had them. Prior to this I was sleeping snuggly through the night and not waking (or wanting to get out of bed in the am).
I guess what scares me (and maybe it will prove to be a sign that this is just Lyme and coinfections) is that one day I have no issue and then the next day I have a new symptom and many of which I haven't had in a very long time. 4 nights ago no night sweats and for the past 3 nights yes. I've done the detox baths, dry brushing multiple times a day stretching, yoga, walks, etc. And lots of probiotics and prebiotics as well as natural anti swelling supplements and I do daily Lymphatic drainage techniques on myself.
There are lots of things that are getting better and the brain fog has been sooooo much better, but is this normal? Have others noticed new or symptoms not seen in a long time appear every once in a while and then calm down? If so does it get better at some point into treatment or is this what to expect for a long time?

Yes, justascarf,
This is just the healing process. It is a combination of toxins being released by the dying bacteria, and your immune system getting a little mixed up and attacking the wrong thing.
Try not to stress about
it. You can assume at this point almost everything is due to Lyme and healing from it. Just glory in the days where you feel well and try to take the temporary set backs in stride.
There will come a time when these symptoms are so far in your past, you will almost forget about
them!

Thanks WWDJ20 and achievinggrace. I was just wondering if this was normal. I'm having a rough day and wanted to find a way to ease my mind and feel confident that this is all just Lyme. I think I'm more anxious because I feel that for 23+ years i sat back, listened to docs and didn't push about
finding the real reason for my problems. I fear that if someof these symptoms are real problems and I need to worry about
them (even though logically I most likely don't), I fear that if I don't worry about
them that I will not be as lucky if they find something down the road that I have failed to report or explore more. Some days I am fine with the mantra of 'it must be lyme and it will get better.'. Other days I get paniced.
Thanks for your reassuring words and I am going to try to focus on the good stuff and improving symptoms.

I think most of us go through that little panic when we first get started. Don't worry, before long you'll be the one telling others that it will pass soon!!
