I am seeing an ND soon to get this figured out properly.

I am in Canada on the Island so the LLMD's were run out, and we have ND's that help as they can prescribe with a license now.

Okay, I am on 200 mg of doxy. Went to 300 then 400 for a bit and wow it was so hard.

I am very severe with rapid thoughts, no sleep, visual distortion, pains in head, not typical headachey pain, jabs and stuff, pain in eyes, and tissue around eyes and behind, I grind from the movement in my head.

Big joint pain in knees. Traveling feeling of things going through my veins was strong but it's gone down a bit since I upped my doxy to 400 and went back down to 200. At 400, I couldn't see through the visual fog or think through it. No clarity or conceptualization. Very surreal. The stuffed cotton in head and around eyes was too strong.

This all sucks, :( very hard to understand and head eye physical discomfort. I am extreme.

So, I've heard positives on Byron White.

What can you tell me in regards to:

1)Byron White.
2)Banderol
3)Samento
4)Artiminisin

Let's see, I have had a lot of good progress using Artemisinin. My doctor has me taking it for three weeks on and one week off. Up until just recently, it produced a herx without fail.

I have had not had as noticeable results from Samento and Banderol, but I know others have used to them to very good effect.

I have had good results with Byron White - I use the A-L Complex and A-BAB formulas...they are strong so a small bottle of these last forever. I have varied my dosage over time from as low as 1 drop of each per day to 6 drops each per day - currently, just maintaining at 4 drops each. I added Grapefruit Seed Extract to battle the Bb cysts, too - at 4 drops/day.

BTW - The byron White formulas are immuno-modulators too, so you get good immune system support...

Please think about adding cat's claw and Japanese knotweed per Buhner's protocol as well.  They support the immune system and reduce inflammation.  His website is here:

It has lots of good information on herbs that can be used for lyme and it's co-infections.  Both of his books - one on healing lyme and the other on natural antibiotics, are super.

So glad you found a ND that can Rx.  I am in Ontario and am travelling to the US for Rx.  An ND is probably a lot more open-minded about this than any Canadian MD would be.  I grew up in NFLD, are you NFLD or PEI?

Just remember that samento is the same as Cats Claw but without the TOA. So one or the other but not both.

I am also on Doxy 200 mg per day. I just started last week. I also have horrible jabbing pains where I am noticably limping and the eye and head pain is crazy!! I am scared of when my dose is upped! I also kind of grind from the head pain..I want to punch myself in the face it's unpleasant.

Are you detoxing at all? I'm trying the baths and also tons of lemon water and liver detox tea.

BTW--my LLMD told me to avoid cat's claw for now..that I wasn't ready for it yet.

Can artemisinin be used to treat other infections, or is it just for babesia?

Achieving Grace, thankyou. I've heard a bit on artiminisin so I appreciate your view and how you are doing with it.

Yazzer, seems many like this Byron and I guess it's other benefits. Thankyou as well.

Rowingmom I appreciate the distinction. I've read tons so really want to hear what members experiences are with certain things specifically. Thankyou as well. And I am in B.C.

Sleepless hi. I mention the jabs but they are not a pain like yours and not a bother like yours. I hope you get some relief from that soon, I do.

I am very "brain function" and physical head/eye symtpoms but not head "pain" symptoms taking me out more than the other.

I'm more lymes neuro than lyme pain.

I had BAD neuropathic pain hardcore this summer and it went down, all face eye head, not body. Body was and is always just mild if any pain in bone and joints. My body is just weak and knee joints inflammation type pain. I'm all head and brain really. Really cognitively compromised and it feels like cotton is

stuffed in my head, eyes, around eyes, I literally can't get around. Blurry everything of course, but the brain feeling physical and mental is a bit extreme. Rapid thought process and no sleep. My head.........is

really uncomfortable, like one big symptom and can't understand things. Too sick to go to sauna so baths. My head feels huge, stuffed, with processing totally wrong and too fast.

Mister Windup Bird, so Art is for Babesia only?

This site says it's for babesia http://www.steveclarknd.com/LymeDisease.htm. I've heard some people say that it kills other parasites, and that can help with the treatment for lyme. Although, I don't know what those parasites are.

I am taking artiminisin per my ND, and we're using it to treat the fry bug/protozoa. I know this bug has been mentioned on this board before. I'm also taking plaquneil for that bug. For lyme, I'm also taking some herbals including teasel root and am about to add in grapefruit seed extract.

What kind of personality comes up with Mister Windup Bird as a name? I automatically picture winding up those little toys to watch them move. How ingenious to think of that.......I never would have thought of that.

keep in mind you somehow have to be clearing whatever you are killing and somehow with gut problems
you must be working on the regularity part of this as well

hang in there, when things were really bad with me, it was like enema's, castor oil packs (which need to be used moderately to start); loads of vitamin c (40+ grams sometimes to get things moving, organic cold pressed olive oil (some people are sensitive to this)

my cranial sacral lady said for me anyway, my gut lower bowels-all ballder-bilde ducts seem to goe into spasmatic action with stress of toxics which effectively shuts things down

the other thing that used to help somewhat was yoga sort of stomach workout where you roll on stomach over compact rolled up towel on floor...sort of pushing things along in your gut

potassium helps with gut peristaltis and some other form of building acid and relaxes tissues..but you should only take at most 500-750 mgs (1/8th to 1/4 teaspoon) at a time in raw salt form (ie nusalt)
