Just saw LLMD and I'm not happy

My visit to a LLMD left me rather bewildered. He says it looks more like a b12 deficiency or MS and is probably not lymes. He also went on to say a false positive is more common then a false negative which goes against everything I've read here. He even dismissed the Dr. Phil show saying it sensationalized. OMG I waited this long to see a LLMD and he dismisses lymes.

lets recap.

I had lymes in 2006 was treated with a regular cycle of Antibiotics no more problems. Dec 2010 had a car accident 3 popped discs and carpal in both hands. I was in so much pain I wouldn't have noticed lymes symptoms. After some recovery I started noticing my calf's hurt and were knotted. My hands hurt constantly aches in my swollen knuckles. Odd ache pains in my muscles of my hands, arms and legs. Now my whole body hurts I sit for 3hrs trying to get up in the morning. My right leg is the worst painful to put weight on. I get twitches all over and my stomach hates food. I can't think straight. My knees hurt to bend and the hair on my knees hurts when brushed up against. When I stand for a bit my legs get red and white blotches that go away when I lay down. I dread going out and move about my room to stay active.

This is no life, I am hanging in there and trying to stay positive but when I can't find answers I get distressed.

He's sending me for blood work and a Mri of my brain. I can't really read the script but it says lyme western blot - dga?, Ign?

Does it look like he's on the right track or sending me to another dead end. Pls help!

It sounds like your initial Lyme infection was in remission due to good treatment, and the car crash initiated a cytokeine chain-reaction that triggered inflammation in your body, which either re-activated the Lyme infection or triggered some sort of toxin overload from the cytokeines.  Accidents can do that.  I've got damage from a car crash, too.

It sounds like you might want to see a different LLMD, though.  Most of them should know about inflammation markers and the reaction that occurs after a car crash, and if this one doesn't, that doesn't bode well in my book.

 

Sadly there are Dr's from every walk of life that still don't believe in Lyme AND those that don't think it could be Lyme if you don't test positive for Lyme. AND A lot of Dr's think 30 days of antibiotics cures Lyme and if you are still sick after that, its all in your mind. Infectious Disease Dr's are quite famous for this.

I am one that didn't test positive but know it's Lyme. I had all the symptoms and had the rash even though the Dr. who saw that rash 10 years ago said 'Oh it's just a spider bite' resulting in my not getting treatment till I was bedridden. Most people with Lyme see numerous Dr's and are told nothing is wrong them or that they have mental issues.
I would certainly seek another Dr.

I got my blood drawn today but he is sending back to my neurologist to get the brain mri. It took me forever to find this LLMD and I dont know where of with what money to find another. Money ran out and health will run out as my job pushes me to come back or resign or get fired. I don't know whats to become of me next.

I haven't given up, it just takes more and more out of me fighting for care.

I have come to believe that MS and Lymes are very much

alike. So much so that even Dr cannot tell them apart. And

the only test that is reliable ( MRI ) is not reliable and only

trial and error will tell. But damage is done if we choose lyme

and fined out that treatment is not working. And if we choose MS

what then? Years of antibotics because we didnt get on them soon

enough! Very depressing! Which way to turn. I have had the same

symptoms for 6 years now and am still no closer to an answer!

I do admire and give praise to moderators and old timers on lyme

forum! I have stayed in the back ground now for a year and they

are wonderfull,  full of advise and wisdom in this long journey

that we are walking.

I can't believe your LLMD would say MS.

The good ones completely understand MS, Lupus, Fibro= eg:chronic infection in nervous system tissue in the Fibro diagnosis etc are simply symptoms of chronic infection. No such thing as autoimmune.

The privately funded scientists have collective evidence based data for this but it's NOT taught in the mainstream medical community university curriculum.

Your LLMD sounds "mainstream" medical community. The mainstream model is the body is attacking itself as it's immune system got "confused" and sees it's own tissue as pathogens and virus and fungus etc to fight.

There is more than one model of why the body gets inflammation and neurodegenerative diseases but above is one example of the ONLY model introduced to the universities therefore mainstream medical community.

People need to practice critical thinking and dig for ALL the information. Not just what is being presented to them through the system.

The "in the know" scientists say the body is TOO SMART to get confused therefore it would NEVER attack itself and they've proved it's pathogens attacking the tissue. Not the body attacking the tissue. Data buried.

Chronic incurable diseases like these autoimmune diseases make a lot of money on repeat prescriptions to manage symptoms of a pathogen infection that is "misinterpreted" as the body attacking itself.

Curing pathogen infections, can stop repeat drugs therefore customers for life prescriptions.

The mainstream medical community is taught only a fraction of skewed data to practice "ALLOPATHIC MEDICINCE" = treating symptoms.

$$$ is why.

I would see another LLMD more in the know so you don't continue getting sicker left untreated for infection and put on toxic drugs only to manage symptoms of something that can turn around if treated PROPERLY.

Your Neurologist will tell you your body is attacking itself from the blood tests and if you have lesions or spots in the MRI like in the MS link I gave you the Neuro will "interpret" that as MS.

A few and far between doctor "in the know" regarding chronic infections will tell you after seeing the EXACT SAME blood test results and MRI as the Neurologist it proves that your body is under stress from being attacked by pathogens and the lesions etc in the MRI are indeed caused by lyme disease.

You have to decide which information is most valuable for you personally. But as you can see, there are two sides. Not one.

And the immed.org side gives EVIDENCE bases research pdf's showing how Parkinsons, MS, Alzheimers, arthritis, CFS, Fibro, Lupus, and more are caused by infection.

The pubic has way to many rabbit holes to try to avoid today in so- called medicine. It's criminal really.
