I see lots of new names.  It's been a while since I've been on.  When this forum was my lifeline, I was sometimes discouraged by the fact that, like me, so many on here were so sick.  (was this what my life would be?!)  I suspected (and hoped) that as people got well, they didn't need the forum any more and moved on.  I told myself that WHEN I got well I would come back occassionally to let others know.

And I have!  After suffering for 2 and a half years with nearly every symptom:  neuro and perception, serious cardio, pulmonary, severe headaches, soooo tired and weak, and on and on.  I completed 6 mos. of treatment.  I have been ENTIRELY symptom free for 7 months.  Nothing what so ever.  I have my life back.  I feel amazing. I just want all of you to know it is possible, dont give up!  love and prayers to all.  J.V.

Thanks for posting. It is so important to get the word out there that we are making progress. It seems that more and more is being done and discovered to help with lyme. I too am feeling great after a rough 6+ years. It is possible to get well with lyme!!

Congradulations and how great to hear!!! I'm super neuro so seeing you were neuro helps a lot. (That said, you having had other symptoms of course.)

I am curious what kind of treatment you were on for 6 months?

I am all herbal and like to read what people have done who are now symptom free.

Thankyou and I do wish you all the very best. Long time for you. I was just saying to my mother today, "I can't believe this is my life right now."

And you said above, "was this what my life would be?!

Thank you sooo much for posting this. I am just dx'd. I've likely been infected for 10-15+years... but the good news is mine has been slow to progress. My CD57 is not too bad and I am feeling better already with the antiobiotic treatment. I go in tomorrow for a spect scan. I am going to get through this and I need to here positive things. Most recently have been having cognitive issues which just started... I just want my body and brain back :). Anyone reading this who is in a similar situation and RECOVERED please reach out to me, as I need to hear the positives. It is going to be a long - hard - battle, yes I know. But I can do it. I also have some organ involvement (inflammation) just recently... but, I can manage that if I can get passed this part! Blessings to you all. oxoxxo

btw - went undx'd for sooo long and when I was tested was fully CDC positive. The medical community has sooo much to learn.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry you had to wait so long for a diagnosis, but better late than never, don't you think!?

I was infected with Lyme for about twenty five years and then got another bite with more Lyme, babesia and Ehrlichia. After two years of treatment, another bite and two more years of treatment, I am 99% well. The cognitive issues are resolved, psychological issues fixed, and physically back to what I can expect for my age!

It is absolutely marvelous. I won't lie to you, it was a very difficult journey and really hope I don't have to do it again.

This forum was of great help to me both for the information sharing and encouraging support. There was always someone here for me. So I am glad you have found us!

I too would love to hear your protocol and
how long after being bit were you treated.
