RMS Fever and Q Fever...help please :(

Hey guys,

My doctor called and said I've tested with high positive titers for both Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Q Fever on top of Lyme and possible bartonella. I also got a letter from the state board of health saying they need to investigate my illness... This is all very scary and I don't know what to think or feel-I am overwhelmed and confused. confused

Can anyone shed some light on these conditions and/or treating them while treating Lyme. Any personal experience or advice?

Anything is appreciated-thanks!

I guess it is too late to tell you not to worry! But if you can stay calm it will be better for you -- anxiety causes a lot of stress on your body.

Great that you got some definite test results. There are several members here that are dealing with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, so I'll leave it to them to comment on that.

I suspected I had Q fever, it is passed to humans from goats and sheep and as I keep both I thought it a strong possibility. My doctor said he would be treating for it the same way he was treating my Lyme, Ehrlichia and Babesia so there was no need to be concerned.

So it will not be a separate treatment for you, either I would suspect.

I do wish the State Boards of Health were paying more attention to all of these tick borne diseases!

Thanks achievinggrace-I am trying to keep calm until my next appointment on the 8th..I have so many questions

Anyone have any more information on advice on RMSF?
