I just added zithromax today after taking mepron and doxy for the past 3 weeks. I'm a little worried. I am already feeling really terrible like a severe flu and it's been over a week like this. It also happened the first week I restarted meds. Will the zithromax make it worse?
Is there anything I should worry about
with this one? I see it can be problematic with liver issues. I just got my liver back to normal after it was pretty high for no reason. I think doxy got it down so I'm thinking maybe erlichia was involved with the liver problems since I've been detoxing obsessively all along and it still didn't help my enzymes.

Mepron can cause liver issues, but I wouldn't worry to much about
the Zithromax. I'd be concerned with candida growth and diflucan might be needed.

Thanks Georgia Hunter. I had pretty bad liver issues that my LLMD thought was Mepron the first time I took it months ago. I had to go off everything for a while and the enzymes kept going up even with aggressive liver support. Then when I added doxy it went down instantly and I was able to add in double the dose of mepron so far without a problem.
I am still feeling really exhausted and kind of cold/feverish and numb feeling like I'm going to faint. It's over the top weakness. I hope it goes away soon, this will be the end of the 2nd full week of this feeling. I had the same thing happen week 1 of Mepron and the week before when I was on doxy alone. I literally cannot do anything except lie down most days.

Don't fight that urge to rest! You are doing some really hard work and your body needs its rest.
Take extra good care of yourself and get everyone else to help!
Hope you start to see some improvement soon.

also has anyone experienced sun sensitivity with zithromax? i know there are precautions regarding this but i thought it wasnt one of the big ones to be concerned about
. now that im done with classes for the semester, i want to enjoy the outdoors :)

My nausea got better since I started zithromax although I'm starving now again all the time and can't get enough food. It's better than throwing up constantly.
It didn't stop the fever that has been on and off for two weeks. I have a bad rash from doxy and the sun, but I don't think it's gotten worse on zithromax yet.
Did you happen to see that new study that just came out about
sudden heart-related death? I wonder if that is something to be really concerned about
. I know my doctor seemed extra concerned about
some of my heart symptoms recently, but that was before I added zith.

Summer, I've been on Zithromax for three weeks now and I have very similar symptoms since being on it. Very little energy, and hungry a lot. I'm also on Tindamax. I spoke with my LLMD earlier this week and he seemed to think the medicine was doing its job. I can't say I disagree with him.
The tell tale sign for me is that even though I'm not walking daily anymore and eating more, I'm not gaining any weight. It's as if my body is using anything I put in it to fight the disease.
It's almost like a constant herx, but not quite. We've had to scale back the kids' activities big time because I simply cannot get them everywhere anymore. No energy.
