i am experiencing what you described i am wondering if you ever came across a solution and did your insomnia go away with further treatment?
It improved sleep, but not 100%. I have autoimmune and that can cause insomnia too. Just slept 10 hrs, as I do on weekends but then feel groggy from to much sleep, so now I need coffee. No happy medium.
Have not used Rx sleep stuff in 2 years. No pain meds either.
I do still use benadryl for sinus and for relaxing to sleep at night, which tells me I still have excess acetlecholine/choline = slight anxiety. I also take mag and holy basil to relax too at bedtime.
Many people with autoimmune dont sleep great as it disrupts the nervous sytem, but prob sleep better than those with active lyme.
