In the space of two years with Lyme and Bartonella I managed to accumulate a stone and a half in weight gain, I tried for so long to loose the weight but I just kept gaining. As a lot of you know it can be very difficult loosing weight with lyme but I have finally managed to drop 12 pound in 3 months :)
It turns out my body just couldn't handle the carbs!! After being on a very low carb diet of around 40 grams of carbs a day I have dropped most of the weight and I am still loosing, not only that but I feel so much better eating this way. My pains are so much less and my fatigue has improved, i'm not saying i'm cured by any means as i'm still very ill, but this low carb diet definitely makes Lyme's and bart so much more manageable. I recommend a low carb diet to all of you with lyme and its co infections, I can almost promise you will feel the difference even if you don't need to loose weight you will benefit from its anti inflammatory properties.
Thanks :)

Thanks very much and I have no idea why, I heard its something to do with hormonal imbalances but i'm not sure how that relates to carbs, all I know is that no carbs works lol

Sorry to hear that, I have heard lyme can make you loose as well as gain. Is there any diets you have tried that worked at all?
