I'm sorry you're having anxiety! Not that I like any symptom, but anxiety is my least favorite! I get anxiety attacks with different triggers - sometimes it's feeling sick to stomach and nauseous, sometimes it's chest pain, and sometimes it's lightheadedness. Personally, when I get full blown attacks, it's more like bartonella - my lyme anxiety is more of that general easily stressed/anxious feeling, but not the attacks, if that makes sense.
I think it helps to understand that it's a natural impulse to respond to specific bodily stimuli with panic - it helped our ancestors survive. Things like heart palps, stomach sickness, and lightheadedness were big red flags (so are things like snakes, spiders, heights). Our bodies are still wired for a much different kind of life - not one with chronic diseases, and certainly not one with herxing! The way I see it, our brains/bodies just aren't capable of processing that the unusual experience of herxing is okay, so they send out red flags. In the very beginning of my treatment I was having daily panic attacks, usually in the morning-early afternoon (they'd last for hours) - I think it was from just a constant herx! Just make sure that what you're doing for detox isn't making you herx (like using too hot of water in a detox bath, for instance).
You could also look into a meridian chart if you subscribe to that kind of thing (I do). They say that if you're woken up at the same time every night, it could be a meridian's energy that's out of whack - looking at my handy dandy chart it looks like the large intestine is supposed to be most active around that time, so, just something to think about!
