Hi Tony. I also live in Northern WI, and my husband & I both have Lyme---yay!!(not)
Your symptoms sure sound like Lyme. Since my husband was diagnosed b4 me, whenever I'd feel sick, I'd take some of his "leftover" abx & feel better too.(looking back it should've been obvious that I also had Lyme)
I understand about the money & no insurance, etc, but your health & mind are worth it!! Right now we see a Lyme-literate Nurse Practitioner that doesn't take insurance. That's how they "get" some of these great Lyme dr's & question them about their prescribing & such. Our 1st Lyme dr. had his license pulled due to much controversary with his treatments--yet he saved my husband's life!
We have excellent health ins., yet we pay $125 per visit out-of-pocket. Double that for both of us, & it does get expensive. We scrimp/save on other things now. But after the hubby being SO sick & totally miserable for 6+ yrs, the money is nothing to us at this point. He has his life back now, though not 100%, but we'll take it. (I also HATE to be in debt)
I'm not sure if we can give out Dr's names on this forum, But since you also live in WI, I can give you the name/address of the Lyme N.P. we see via e-mail, she's very good & literate on Lyme, and not afraid to treat you for as long as needed. My e-mail is [email protected]. Feel free to email me, as I hate to see others suffer with Lyme without the proper treatment.
