There are many natural things that can help bring down the inflammation, people! Although as Borderlyme has said, it's always wise to check to be sure that the natural products won't interfere or interact with your other meds -

These infections cause lots of inflammation, especially in the nervous system. This is why using anti inflammatories will frequently help our pain levels.
Inflammation in the muscles - which lots of us have!- is part of why our muscles ache so much. Using those muscles, as much as we can bare to anyway - will help work out some of the inflammation.
The exception that I have found is the neck/shoulders area. That's a gift that just keeps on giving!! -right! not funny! - I have the "Lyme shrug" that keeps on coming back. The muscles in my neck/shoulders stay really tight, eventually causing my shoulders to rise in a shrug - only they stay there! Ouchy!! Heat often helps soothe the area - and some topical creams ("Icy-hot", Bengay, Aspercream and such), but I have yet to find much that really helps the muscles relax long term. Should anyone know of something, I'll tell ya - I'm soooo ready for help with this!!!! ARG!!!!
