Samento/Cat's Claw - Feedback please

It's been a while since I've been on here because I was pregnant and not dealing with lyme symptoms. Now that I have had my second daughter (5 months old) some of my lyme syptoms are returning (not a surprise given how sick my pregnancy was and how depleted I must still be). Anyway, I haven't taken abx for lyme in over 5 years and don't really plan to, especially since I am still nursing.

I did purchase samento based on a recommendation from a fellow chronic lymie and was told it had good results as an alternative treatment. Before I start taking it I wanted to get some feedback, good and bad, on what to expect while taking it.

There's been a lot of discussion of samento/cat's claw here on the forum - it might be helpful for you to search through old posts (I think there are quite a few pretty recently).

I've been taking huge doses of cat's claw for a while now - when I first started it seemed to make me herx, but it a good way. For me there's a worsening of symptoms herx, and then there's that flu-like sore all over need to lay down and nurse a fever feeling, which isn't exactly pleasant, but I always see that as a sign that my body is actively fighting, rather than being all clogged up with toxins. I can't really say what the individual effects of it are anymore as I'm taking mega doses of quite a few herbs all together. I am feeling better though, and of course I like to think that what I'm taking (including cat's claw) is what's doing the trick!

My advice would be to start slow, as with anything, since it can break up biofilms which means releasing a lot of stuff into your body really fast.

Hi Just read that breast feeding women should not take samento cat's claw.. www.samento.com Page 10 or so.. of samento health for everyone ,, there are several doctors writing you can click and open.. but the no take for breast feeding is under the Samento health.. hope you get this..

oh wow. Glad I saw this. I was told it was safe for breastfeeding and I was about to start this morning so I am glad I just read this. Guess I have to wait a bit longer to try it.

My daughter has been taking Samento and Cumanda and Serrapeptase for the past 6 weeks or so.  She has really seen a lot of improvement.  She is still working up to a goal of 40 --60 drops of each per day.  She started at a drop of each and is now up to 26 drops.  She goes to a certain level, then stays there for 12.5 days, then stops both for 1.5 days, then goes up again.
