drenching day sweats

Can anyone tell me which infection causes those lovely drenching day sweats? I can't seem to track down this info, although I know that I have seen this info somewhere!!!
Just love my Lymie brain!!!! UGH!

I don't have any symptoms other than those from my tbi's, so at this point I'm still thinking it's not a virus, but time will tell! Thanks for the input Achievinggrace!! :)

What I have been experiencing for the last 4 days is all of a sudden I will start sweating - profusely!- not just from my arm pits, but my whole body, like I was in a sauna, and always soak the clothes I had on - lots of laundry being done at my house right now! The strange part is while on the computer, I sit directly under a vent for the air conditioner and will still break out into one of those sweats!

I had been having those lovely drenching night sweats that would wake me 2 or 3 times a night because I was so wet that I got chilled once the sweat was over, as well some other symptoms of Babs, but now it's switched to daytime sweats. I have read somewhere a while back about the drenching day sweats and it may be because of Babs and just not be so common of a symptom - I just can't remember. Although I have already experienced some improvement in my memory (I can actually claim to have one now!), I will be sooooo glad when my memory will become reliable!

BTW- it's not like I need to determine which infection is causing this so I can get treatment, it just buggin' the daylights out of me!

Thanks Cat! But only parts are working as of yet!! It is quite nice to have some working memory though!! I've been operating for about 10 years now without any real short term memory!!

Lymster, nope! I've actually noticed a drop in the amount of palpitations that I experience. My blood pressure has always been rock steady. No extra dizziness to make me think anything is off in that way. I have been having center of the brain migraines - low grade fortunately- during this time. Since headaches are a symptom of so many of the TBI's, I didn't figure that it would be a good clue.

I'm not sure it's a big deal though - today they have backed off a bit (along with the migraine), so maybe they were just stopping by to say hello?

No, I haven't had a Babs test done, but I have all of the symptoms. My first (& only) LLMD diagnosed me with all TBI's because of my history and symptoms. I have researched each tbi enough to feel very comfortable with that diagnosis - unfortunately.

I have had this before, back when I was under treatment by said LLMD, but I was experiencing soooo many symptoms and going through many, many herxes at that time, that there was no way to tell which infections I was having the most trouble with.

This most recent occurrence of these symptoms - serious headaches, migraines, day sweats, muscle aches and some extra nausea have only been with me for about 5 days now. I'm beginning to realize that it's most likely just a herx - my herbals and the detoxing have finally gotten rid of enough toxins that I am really able to work on the infections themselves!!!

So for now, it's more ginger caps for the nausea, and of course plenty more detoxing, dry skin brushing, and lemon water drinking!!!!

I believe I have misspoken. The LLMD I saw to begin with - back in 2007- did run all of the appropriate tests and they all back back as negative!! At that point in time, he told me that there was no use in running a bunch more, as he suspected that I had been infected for many, many years. After going over my health history with my Mom, we came to realized that I was first infected with RMSF at the age of 7. From a small child I have been a big outdoor person, attracting many, many bugs and ticks and their bites, so the assumption that I had been bitten by several ticks that were carrying TBI's is a pretty safe bet!

There really is no doubt that I have all of the more common co-infections, based on clinical evidence. I did receive a full year of abx treatment and it almost killed me. I finally told the doc that I couldn't continue treatment any longer, and came home to be bed-ridden for 2 months, then house bound for another 3 months. I worked my way back to being able to do basic housework and to get to town to buy groceries, but each day I would do something like that, it took me two days in bed to recover. This is why I no longer see abx treatment as an option for me.

So I started seeing an Acupuncture Doctor and she started in doing the work the other types of doctors that I had previously seen wouldn't do - build up my body so that it could withstand attacking the TBI's. It's taken a year to get there, but in three months of treatment for Lyme, I have had very substantial improvements in my health, so I will stay with this form of treatment, although I don't begrudge anyone wanting to use abx either. I'm a firm believer that each person will need a treatment just as unique as their body is from everyone else.

I will be starting a Babesia treatment in about 2 weeks, while staying on my current treatment for LD. I was just wanting to know if others thought my day sweats were from Babesia, or if there was another infection(s) that produces the same symptom.

I have been lucky though - other than that first case of RMSF (I've tested positive twice more), I don't seem to be contracting the forms of TBI's that are acute for long or life-threatening.

Yes, I do have Babesia. I have the night sweats, but was wondering if there was another infection that also causes the day sweats. Since I made this post, I have had even more symptoms of Babesia get stronger, so I'm pretty sure that I've been herxing more than I realized.

The reason I had posted this question is because sweats can be from so many things! Sometimes it's just the body's response to the sudden die off of bacteria, sometimes it's from one of the tick-borne infections - or from the flu or a cold!

If every time you take the Arteminisin you have those sweats, then it's safe to say it's from one of the tick-borne infections and it's doing it's job - killing more bacteria, or in the case of Babesia, protozoa.
