reaction to nystatin?? Herx?

Today I started on nystatin, as my yeast problems aren't completely going away( ) , even after upping my probioitics.

So, today, after taking my 2nd of 4 nystatin pills per day, I became very ill; fluish, extreme fatigue, breathlessness. I haven't felt this bad since I first started treatment in June.

I was wondering if this could be some sort of reaction to the nystatin...? Though I did read the side effects/allergic reactions, & basically I just had the nausea it mentioned. It really feels like a herx, but my meds haven't changed in 3+ weeks..

Any ideas? Also, don't herxes "cycle" ever few weeks??

 

I took nystatin and felt horrible from it! I had horrible diarrhea, stomach pain, anxiety... I felt like a train hit me. My ND told me to back down on my dosing and that helped. I would most definitely think that's a herx! Yeast die off is gnarly! Molybdenum helps your body rid yeast die off. It's good to take when treating yeast. Do not underestimate yeast herx. It is not easy either!
