Hi Justme,
I am really not convinced that all the strict diet advice is sensible. I can see the point of keeping sugar levels low if you have candida, but other than that I don't see why you can't eat whatever makes you feel good. The body needs a range of foods to be healthy, and completely cutting out certain food groups seems unwise unless there is a specific personal medical requirement.
I ate an entirely normal diet during my treatment, and only kept sugar low when one of my antibiotics caused candida problems. I ate gluten, dairy, tea and coffee, cola (sugar free), meat, fish and everything else I needed. I ate healthily to keep vitamin levels up, but with lots of treats to keep me going too. If you cut out too many food groups you are likely to lose weight and not have enough protein and carbs to keep your energy up. That would make you more ill rather than less ill! I would say add in new foods rather than take out foods - extra veg is great, but don't take out everything else. Anyway, many types of veg take way more energy to digest than meat does - celery, for example, is a calorie negative food. You actually want foods that take a while to digest, as this gives more long-term energy e.g. brown rice rather than white rice.
Perhaps ask to see a dietician? If you take that much veg juice it could surely cause damage???
Good luck!
