Has anybody ever been diagnosed with Leptospirosis as well as lyme on a blood culture?

Leptospirosis is caused by exposure to several types of the Leptospira bacteria, which can be found in fresh water that has been contaminated by animal urine. It occurs in warmer climates.

It is not spread from person to person, except in vary rare cases when it is transmitted through breast milk or from a mother to her unborn child.

plus Lyme: I was found to have this at the same time they found the Lyme.. It was cultured and I believe the culture was done in the Igenx Lab, although I am not sure it was called that then. It was in CA.
I think they would have caught it on you when they caught your lyme.

My dad had a large poultry family business. Waste was gross and rather difficult to ? contain or keep away from?

Even though I had looked lepto up I do not remember seeing the animal urine part (thanks Traveler) This would make sense.

I need to try to find a post I had written concerning my brother and a wonderful person who suggested Babesia. Brother has already been double diagnosed lyme and MS.

I am very worried about him. I did not know this but on discharge someone told him to get his affairs in order. wow.

He is out of the hospital, they gave him two blood transfusions and while he does not feel better his face looks more normal.

oh yes!!three years ago in india they found leptospirosis in me...and now in the netherlands they say they found antibodies for lyme..i have been severely ill these three years..what to say......most symptoms are now neurological and heart related......In the netherlands they do not treat lyme, you have to search for years to find anyone willing to treat you......I asked if there could have been a crossreaction between the lyme and leptospirisis bloodresults but here they tpold me i had antibodies specifically for Lymes..I wish i had more answers, i deal with it every day and nearly lost my life back than..!
