Heart palpitations and Hawthorn

Wondering if anyone has tried hawthorn for heart problems related to this dreaded disease.  Palpitations, skips etc.

SB's book recommends it but does not talk about side effects.  Then looking into it a bit more, I found that there could be side effects depending on how much you take etc.

any advice would be welcome. thanks

My mom had heart palpitations when she went to bed at night from Lyme. She also had an arrhythmia that showed up on all of her EKG's.

She couldn't seek treatment traditionally because her tests were all negative for Lyme and all of her doctors told her she was crazy.

She took matters into her own hands and found a holistic healer who has a biomeridian machine and practices homeopathy. I know, it's referred to as "quack science" and a lot of people would consider it a crazy approach. However, when the mainstream turns it's back on you, what else can you do?

Anyway, the machine detected 3 different strains of Lyme and she was told to take 5 drops of 2 homeopathic tinctures 3x a day. Within a week she regained her energy and her arrhythmia went away.

She followed up with her regular doctor and her arrhythmia was no longer detected and her blood pressure went back to normal. People tell her all the time it's just a placebo effect, but she says she doesn't care as long as she feels better.

As far as your question about Hawthorne, a lady I know at the health food store had the same problems from Lyme. She said she took the "special heart formula" by Quantum which contains hawthorne as an ingredient and "andrographus" by Quantum and both helped.
