This book helped me to understand how mercury fillings affect the body and the relation to lyme disease symptoms, especially neurological and emotional symptoms. It is pretty detailed and a bit scientific. I think I got it via a reference in one of Brian Rosner's books on Lyme Disease

I had all my amalgam fillings removed about 10 years ago from a regular dentist.. Interestingly, I just went to a biological dentist who found a bit more mercury in one of my teeth that the other dentist did not remove! He removed it. I think it was vital to my health to get the mercury out.

I have had loads of detox for mercury over the years from various holistic docs. Honestly can't remember all the things I have taken. But here are some things: I do FIR saunas regulary..they can pull out mercury, I have taken chlorella, which binds it so it can be excreted. Lots of chlorella at times. Also cilantro (in tincture and also just fresh..you can make it into a pesto and eat it.). Fish oil is helpful. And Garlic.

My doc of the past three years and also my current doc test me each time to see what the body is needing, whether it is needing to detox certain things and what is useful. So my protocol switches.

Here is a link I just found from Dr. K on mercury detox...I have done much of what he says.

Oh..also just started on oral glutathione.
