Have you seen a doctor yet about
these infections? If so, what kind of doctor are you seeing? Have you started any treatment yet?
Yes, yellowing of the eyes (jaundice) is a warning signal that the liver is struggling. You need to start detoxing, which is covered in our "New to Lyme?" thread - 2nd post about
half way down. It's important to do all the things suggested with the exception of the foot or full detox soaks - you don't have to do both of those, it depends on what you can handle. I would suggest that you start off very slowly with detoxing though. It sounds as if you may be quite full of toxins and unable to detox properly.
To start off with detoxing, I would suggest that you dry skin brush daily, drink at least 64 ounces of pure water (you can add in fresh lemon if you aren't having any muscle spasms/twitches/cramps. Otherwise it'll just make these things worse!), and eat just as healthy as you can afford to, using organics whenever possible.
As for the detox soaks, I would suggest that you use the Epsom Salt/Peroxide foot soak. Be sure that you start off very slowly though! Even detoxing can bring on a herx (Jarrisch-Hersheimer reaction). That's a healing crisis and they are miserable! They include a worsening of current symptoms and can bring on new symptoms as well. The reason for this is because a herx is a healing crisis. There are so many toxins floating around in your blood stream and the body can't process them fast enough to keep from having serious problems if it goes on for long. My doc gets really mad if I allow a herx to go more than 4 days.
There is enough evidence that Lyme (at least) can be passed from mother to child that you will want to watch your son for symptoms - again, we have a great set of symptom lists in our "New to Lyme?" thread.
Although with that being said, there are a lot of different reason as to why a child would be born with Jaundice. My daughter was, but then again I carried her for 10 months and she had 3 bowel movements inside the placenta before she was finally born.
Something else you will find in our "New to Lyme?" thread is a list of questions to help you find a doctor that is capable of giving you the kind of treatment that you will need in order to put this disease into remission!
If you are not seeing a doctor for your infections yet, here are a few ways to locate one:
For information on finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, you can start a new thread titled something like:"Looking for LLMD in the _______ area." Although you will need to enable your email option in your profile in order to receive any recommendations, as we don't allow doctor's names and contact info to be posted on the forum for several reasons. You can enable your email option in your profile, under 'edit profile'. Be sure to click the submit button to actually save your preference.
