I was supposed to have my results back today. They won't give them to me over the phone which is ok but the next appointment is March 6th, which means I will have been waiting 5 weeks for LLMD appointment, completely not knowing whether or not he will even treat me.

I am starting to think that my new GP does actually believe I have Lyme BUT is unwilling to do blood tests like CBC or CD-57. I will get the bloodwork done that she requested last week but it is useless ANA's etc that tests for autoimmune (maybe so she can rule that out..?)

Sorry I just needed to vent, and seeing that young guy die from lyme complications is heartbreaking and scary.

I'm so sorry, Opugirl! It must be horribly frustrating! I never understood why doc's offices won't give the results of our blood work over the phone - it's not like anyone can steal your identity from that info!! Maybe if you ask for a copy of the results, you can go by and pick them up before the 5 weeks is up?? It might be worth a try.

Yes, it's really sad when we find out someone has passed due to the complications of these diseases. Do you know where this guy lived? I didn't hear about it - although I do have to admit, I haven't had much time to listen to news.

Tell the Dr.'s office to mail them to you. They are required to give you a copy if you request it.

Well I don't have to wait 5 weeks luckily but I went in on Jan. 29th and they said they would call to schedule an appt when the results came in (which would have been last week). I called last week when they didn't and they were on vacation the whole week, which meant (and I knew it) that they would be packed this week. So, the next appointment is March 6th (16 days away) and I took it. They said that if there was a cancellation a day in advance they would call me right away so I could take it, and I do appreciate that and said Thank you but my worst nightmare is that I'm going to get there and he is going to say "Well you came back Igenex negative so I'm not going to treat you."
I also don't want to rock the boat b/c I am hoping that he will treat me but man....

Hang in there, Opugirl!! Be sure to let us know not only how the appt goes, but what the test results show as soon as you are up to it after the appt!! :-) You know, we are here for you!! (((hugs)))

I agree that they are your medical records and you have a right to them in a timely fashion. I would either drive over and pick them up or call and ask that they be mailed to you.

I'm having a lot of frustration in just finding an LLMD and getting an appointment with one.

Do you get your blood work done through LabCorp? If so, you can create an account online and view your blood work. Sometimes you can even view it before you doctor is able to see it. Its quick and easy.

I have all of that bloodwork. Just not Igenix.
