I posted yesterday, but somehow my post isn't on the thread, so I am reposting.
After nearly dying a year ago, I have recovered enough strength to finally get a PICC line. It's a good thing, too, because the flow of cerebral spinal fluid is beginning to get blocked by all of the inflammation. I live in Florida, but am in Plainview, LI right now helping my in-laws out as much as I am physically able to (they are 86 and 90). In return they want to help me get the treatment I need. So, I need a Lyme literate doc in the area who works with PICC lines. I contacted the guys at Columbia University in NYC but they have such a long waiting list that a person could die before they get in.
Can anyone help? I saw a posting from over a year ago where someone said they have a doc in Plainview, but when I emailed I didn't get a response (hope they are okay).
Any help would be really appreciated. You can email me with any info so we aren't posting names.

I think I know who the doc in Plainview is and you don't want to go to him as he's an infectious disease doc that treated me with doxy for 10 days.
Your email is unavailable so you can email me if you'd like and I'll try and help you out.

Don,
What does that post mean?
Do you know a Lyme doctor in Plainview
Or Long Island area?

Hi All:
I don't think any of the drs on Long Island are good enough. There is one in NYC that is highly recommended. I and another member on this board are seeing one in Bridgeport, Ct. If anyone needs there names you can send me a message.

Hi, I live on Long island and am seeing a LLMD in NYC. You can go on line and search for an LLMD through the ILADS web site. Also there is an organization called the Empire State Lyme Foundation. You may be able to email and ask for an LLMD suggestion. Wishing you healing!
