Yes. That is how I described my years prior to being properly treated. I just used to cry and cry and cry. I would cry in the morning after finally coming down the stairs with aching knees and ankles, I would cry after I got my kids off to school, I would cry on the way to work and then again after I left to pick up the kids an
d would cry again in bed at night, always careful never to let anyone see me. I couldn't figure out how I was going to continue to get through life the way I was feeling.
Lyme causes depression and anxiety and it is so important to get those under control to be able to get well. My husband and I both have lyme and both suffered terribly with these. we just kept trudging along expecting to get better while pushing ourselves to the limit. It doesn't work. these days we are feeling terrific. We are both still in treatment on and off for lingering remnants of this stupid disease but we have the anxiety and depression under control with supplements and meds.
Hormonal and chemical imbalance is almost a definite with lyme and when the brain chemical is off, its impossible to lower stress levels enough to get well.
Perhaps you can speak to your doctor about making the day more bearable and then focus on getting well. Before you know it, you'll be feeling yourself again. Really.
