Yes, Lyme and coinfections can most certainly cause nausea. See
thehumansideoflyme.net/viewarticle.php?aid=62 for more info on what all these lovely infections can do to the gastrointestinal tract... BTW, I've experienced most of what's in this article...ugh!
Ginger is good for nausea, but if you have gallbladder problems, it could make the nausea worse (at least, this was my experience prior to getting my gallbladder removed).
I use homeopathy and antihistamines to control nausea now. Claritin or one of the other over-the-counter antihistamines can be helpful.
Also, homeopathic Nux V. or Ipecac (Homeopathic, NOT the drug store syrup!!!!!) can be very helpful for nausea. Nux V nausea is more mild, background, persistent nausea that just doesn't want to go away.
The homeopathic Ipecac nausea is more the urgent, must run to the bathroom cuz I'm sick NOW type nausea. Both are for nausea that is worse from the smell/taste/sight of food.
The smell of Peppermint oil can sometimes also help a lot with nausea, but don't use this if you do the homeopathy, because the strong odor of the peppermint will cancel out and render the homeopathy ineffective.
