Veritee,
It's never too late!! Really! You should look up some of Razzle's posts using the search feature here. They have had a lot of serious issues to deal with as well. I've had my own serious issues, but none of them were nutritional, other than some leaky gut issues that have been resolved with treatment.
I live in a state that has no LLMD's and still was able to get good treatment for my infections that I've had for over 40 years now - RMSF at the age of 7 clued me in to that fact!
Many here are doing 'at home' protocols and are healing!!
When you are really, really compromised by these infections and toxins, you must go very slowly with all things, including detoxing. I would suggest that you start off by dry skin brushing and doing a luke warm water foot detox. Be sure to only keep your feet in the water for no more than 5 - 7 minutes though. It should have an effect without causing too bad of a herx.
You should also be very cautious with your diet. Eating as healthy as you can afford, choosing organic foods whenever possible, drinking green smoothies (really!), drinking plenty of clean water with lemon juice added (if you don't have muscle spasms/cramps), and of course as much rest as possible.
Have you had your thyroid and adrenals checked lately? Those being out of whack can really slow or stop healing, as the body tries to struggle through that.
I hope this isn't too much, but you also need to be sure that you are having regular (
at least one a day) bowel movements. This is a major pathway for the body to eliminate those toxins that we are trying to get out of our bodies!
Seriously, the only time it's 'too late' is when we give up.
