hello. anybody here that has any experience with IV zithromax? either good or bad? I had to switch from IV rocephin to IV zithromax, I will start friday. I just want to know what to expect. thanks.

Please be aware that the FDA recently came out with new, stricter warnings about Zithromax causing "rare but deadly heart rhythms in some patients". I don't recall them including IV Zith, but you will want to check into this to be sure.

I have been on IV Zithromax for a little more than 2 months I to switched off of rocephin which I was doing really well on but, I was having gall bladder attacks. I don't want to break your spirits because this is just my case but I have gone backwards since the change... I am not a huge fan but there aren't many IV choices. Zithromax helps a lot of Lymies so maybe it will be the key to your treatment. I hope it is :-)

I talked to my dr about my concerns about zithromax, because when I was on zithro pills I had bad chest pains. So we decided to do clindamycin IV instead. Anybody here familiar with that abx? I will be doing clindamycin Monday wed and fri. Flagyl sat and sun 2xdaily.
