about the fluoride: my regular dentist warned me since I was a kid to avoid toothpastes with added fluoride, we ingest more than enough of it without eating it while brushing our teeth (eg in our drinking water). I always try to buy toothpaste without fluoride.
I use Parodontax, a really good toothpaste for your gums, with lots of minerals and herbal extracts in it, no fluoride (they have 1 kind with it, but I just don't buy it), and it really fights tartar (I never have to go and let my teeth cleaned). I googled it, and found it on amazon.
Its taste is really strong because of the minerals and salts in it, it takes a while to adapt, but once you're used to it you'll find that brushing your teeth with regular toothpaste is like eating a bar of soap... lol
