Ugh... I hate when I feel this way. I feel hateful and angry for no reason at all. I hate this disease. I want my life back.

I'm so very sorry, Shabbychic! I do know and understand that mood - maybe a little too well if you ask my hubby! LOL!

This is part of the disease process somehow. I'm not real sure how it can make us have these moods, but there are a lot of us that go through this! What about the use of mood elevators? Natural or pharmaceutical?

What are the weather patterns like where you are? If there is a lot of dark skies, I know that I still have some issue with staying in a positive mood - I have to actually want to be in a good mood and work to keep it after several days of dark clouds and having to stay inside.

You can use special light bulbs that are designed for those with SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder - or just use one of those "daylight" bulbs where you sit the most.

Surely others will be along shortly to add to these suggestions!

Thanks Traveler. You always have such a nice way of encouraging people and letting us know we are not alone. I can't imagine that you are ever in the mood I'm in now. Lol You hide it well, even with all the nonsense you sometimes deal with on here--God bless you!

Weather has been good here actually, that's why I'm surprised at my mood. Ah well. Have to ride it out like I have all the others. Looking forward to when it turns... Thank you for your input!

awww Shabby. I get it. Have been there many times, too.

Yes, part of the process as Trav. says......could be toxins of some sort or hormones going up and down.

I have lovingly (not so lovingly) called it being in the pit of despair ;) been there many times.


"this too shall pass!: sorry you are going through it!

Detoxing might help...walking or getting outside in nature. Watching a funny movie, etc.

I hope it'll pass quickly... I know so well how you're feeling. Sometimes I just want to bite peoples heads off - or I feel that if someone says one more nasty thing, I'll become a ferocious people devouring monster - just stay out of my way, it's better for you - lol

On those days, I try to stay at home, I find it very stressing to be amongst people when I'm like that.

Thanks everyone for your kind words! Feeling better today already. Not happy, but just not really angry either. So bizarre how this stuff goes up and down.

I just want to eat a big dish of pasta and drink a bottle of wine!! That's the usual way I'd handle my foul moods. Not anymore ; )

Oh, my moods!!! Hubby even learned that when I said "I'm in a mood" to stay away!!! LOL!!!! Really! He was very careful to not make a wrong move! Remember, he saw me when Lyme rage had a good hold on me and I would go out and beat the living crud out of some poor random tree! Or split firewood - boy that took that anger out of me!!! turn giggle! And we got our firewood split!!! smilewinkgrin

I also learned to not come on the forum - or the internet for that matter on those days! It didn't take much of anything to set me off in a rampage, yelling at my computer! LOL! It's funny now of course - but while it was going on, let me tell you NO ONE was laughing that was around me! smhair

I'm so glad to hear that you are doing better today! I hope that things stay upbeat for you now!! (((hugs)))

If this is any comfort to you to know this....Heather had numerous episodes of Lyme rage and bouts of depression. Unfortunately it often comes with the territory.

We are here for you to vent. Go ahead.... and take a shot!

Hi there,

I go through this a few times a week, I get angry, and I get depressed. I just keep telling myself that it's the Lyme doing this to me, and that I will get better.

Sometimes it helps and other times it doesn't, but I like to think if I am happy, it ticks off the Lyme. I hope you have a great day.

Marie, you described the look on my hubby's face so perfectly when you said that phrase "ferocious people devouring monster" - LOL! I just knew that was what had to be going through his mind!! LOL!!!

I'd love to have you over for a visit! We'd sit around and laugh at ourselves until we couldn't breathe....and then we could blame it on the Babesia! LOL!!! (Okay,okay, I'm healed, but I could still say that so that you aren't alone!!! turn)

that would be great, imagine that - free expression of crazyness  turn (you've been there, doesn't matter if healed or not) - that's what I sometimes do with a friend who has bad diabetes (suffers a lot too) - we just laugh like 2 crazy people - LOL

When I'm in monster mode, most of the time there's (luckely) that little voice screaming 'step away from the crowd! step away from the crowd!' - LOL

I sooo wish I had that little voice!!! Mine seems to get confused, and tells me to get in the middle of the crowd and tell them what's really happening - usually about tick-borne infections!!! devil
