Sophia Health Institute

Twitter-I emailed you. Razzle, I wonder if we had the same kind of experience. It was such a disappointment in so many ways (we were so hopeful) and so unprofessional in so many ways and so much that was "under the table" in terms of giving forthright information, etc. And we also felt it was very "cookie cutter". It was a very disappointing and expensive lesson that we now have in our back pocket to learn from as we pursue another LL dr and treatment. kathleent

Ditto to what many have mentioned already. But actually saw the LLMD at another office before moved to Sophia office.
As time moved along and discussions came up with other Lyme Pts. I heard the very same
protocol being used in their treatment. ie: "cookieCutter".
8 + visits and no improvement.

One thing to consider I feel when searching for a LLMD. Is how available are they down the road if you have issues that come up right after starting treatment. Are you able to get a phone consult or visit within a short time, other PA, Nurse, or ND able to get back to you soon. Can your LLMD admit you to the hospital or have someone in your health circle who can admit you, if something should come up that compounds your health.

I am sure many more questions, but my brain is fadding.

If I had the money I would check it out, I am into muscle testing, cause what works for one, doesnt work for antther

and the body changes all the time

I pray we are all guided to the right drs for what our bodies need

and we all win the lotto or something to be able to afford to get well

then we will be the toughest people on the planet!

I have been a patient of Dr. Klinghardt’s since 2009. I had initially been diagnosed with Lyme in 2004, treated it immediately and aggressively with antibiotics, and been told I was “cured.” Five years and many doctors later, I learned that I still had Lyme, along with an infection in my jaw, chronic strep, parasites and heavy metal toxicity. C.diff was also part of my history, so antibiotic treatment was dangerous for me. Dr. Klinghardt and his team of naturopaths saved my life. I went from being so physically and cognitively impaired that I couldn’t work, to attending grad school and will graduate in 2014.

The team at Sophia actively seeks out cutting edge therapies from around the world, and are experts at creating personalized approaches tailored for each patient’s needs. I found they took a highly individualized strategy toward treating people - not "cookie cutter." Dr. Klinghardt does try new therapies out as he learns about them, but given all that is "not known" about Lyme and co-infections, I think that's a good thing.

The office is busy, but in my experience any doctors who are helping people with Lyme are totally swamped right now. I always have felt that everyone at Sophia has my best interests at heart, and that's so important.
Many people travel across the country or across the globe to work with Dr. Klinghardt. Sometimes people ask me about the expense or the difficulty of the protocol. Re expense - Dr. K is half the price of doctors in New York City who treat Lyme, and an hour with him is like 5 hours with a regular doctor. Most other doctors are treating with antibiotics only, but there are many ways to treat Lyme and Klinghardt is an expert on those techniques. Re the protocol, given the choice between doing a protocol and being sick the rest of my life, hey, I'll take the protocol every time!

Do not go to the Sophia health institute, I was also there a week and 7000.00 later, and left worst then I arrived, and i never was able to see Dr klinghart, they injected me in my head and face and back which was done by a Dr who I believed has caused more damage to my nerves in my head and face- she literally Stabbed me in the head and face with a needle supposedly it's neuro therapy but I can tell you after that I have been much much worse!! The staff there are disorganized! They never return phone calls once you are home and want to follow up!! I think Dr klinghart has some knowledge that could be helpful to some however it's become a revolving door at Sophia health only to ___ sick people desperate for answers!!
