To get started detoxing when your skin is so sensitive, try using a wet washcloth, moving it in small circles - just like is explained for dry skin brushing. What you are trying to do is to de-sensitize your skin enough to handle the brushing. Remember to keep the pressure on your skin very light.
Once you can handle using a wet wash cloth, move to using a dry washcloth, again moving in small circles with light pressure.
Once you can handle the dry washcloth, then wet the wash cloth, wring it out and give it time to hang dry. This will "rough it up" a bit more. Wet and hang dry the washcloth each time you brush your skin.
Once your skin gets used to that, you can advance to a very soft body brush - remember light pressure, small circles.
This process took me a couple of months to complete, and I had to retreat to a more gentle way several times - going from using a dry wash cloth back to using a wet one or from using a soft body brush back to using the wetted and then dried wash cloth. As long as you are making progress overall, don't worry about
any periods where you have to back off on the "roughness" of the brushing.
Start slowly with the detox soaks too.
If there are any other "road blocks" to you being able to detox, just start asking questions!! Someone here will almost always be able to help!
