I have had enough! Please advise...

Candida is a big problem for a lot of us on here. I have a pretty strict diet/probiotics to limit this but every now and then I fall off the wagon. Antibiotics are most effective when yeast is not an issue so a relapse is possible but the abx would not be completely ineffective.

I cut out most sugar and dairy. I take Azo tabs 3x a day and coconut oil. I'm on some ameoba homeopathy thing that has really helped.

Thanks so much for your suggestions. I have doubled my probiotics in order to try and improve the problem. So now I am taking 120 billion daily. I use coconut oil and have recently added curcumin. I also changed my diet months ago. I have no sugar, no processed foods, very limited carbs, no dairy, limited carbs, and drink only water. What a roller coaster this is. Will our digestion ever be the same after all this?

Xylitol gargles also help with oral thrush.

Ive started attacking yeasts specifically as I do believe the lyme has been addressed.. Ive still got some mycoplasma I can see in my blood.. but overwhelmingly what I see in my blood are fungal forms.

I added Thorne's SF722 formula and have noticed huge shifts.

Thank you so much for your help. I just ordered some saccharomyces boulardi. I will take that along with my probiotics. This is all so expensive! Yellow and vast convinced me to try it. I love the word ANNIHILATED :) you guys are all great support.

It is thick and white. Plus it burns a bit. Gross! I clean my toothbrushes to make sure I don't reinfect. Did you ever imagine we would be going through all this horrible stuff because of tick bites. I just don't know why they are part of nature?

Hey I just want to tell you a little about my story. Im 24 and was diagnosed with Lyme disease and bartonella when I was 22. I was living in South Carolina going to college and I started getting muscle twitches. I didn't think much of it until after a few months I found myself becoming exhausted and I would sleep all day. I started getting muscle twitches throughout my whole body and random electric shock type zaps in my face. I went and saw all types of doctors and I think I had every test imaginable (MRI, EKG, ECG) every blood test, I saw three neurologists and everyone said I was fine and it was just in my head. I was starting to become depressed and I noticed my memory short term memory was doing strange things, such as I would forget what I was just doing. I went and saw Dr.C in Tampa as I was reffered to him through one of these forums. I did a western blot and all sorts of other tests and he put me on 4 weeks of IV Rocephin. After all of that I had to go back and do another 3 weeks. I noticed a little bit of difference but after I was off the antibiotics all of my symptoms returned. My father's friend is a doctor in the Orlando area and he created a product that kills nanobacteria, the product is designed to help people with heart disease but he said through their trials they found that it helped people with Lyme disease. So at this point I was ready and willing to try anything. I am happy to say that I have been on this product for 7 months now and I feel the same way I did before all of this Lyme disease craziness. I wish somebody would of told me about this 3 years ago so I wouldn't of had to go through all of those antibiotics and spent money on doctor visits. Hopefully I can help other people with their struggle with this awful battle.

Check out the probotic Ortho Biotic. I bought mine on Amazon.com but it has a great combination of bacteria, Saccharomyces, Lactobacillus, and Bifidobacterium. I have yet to find one better.

Older thread but thought I would comment. My LLMD told me to do 2 things for my tongue yeast, and he also added it was most likely throughout my body, causing very similar symptoms as Lyme itself. My tongue was pretty white and especially thick with yeast towards the back .
#1. Stop eating sugar and simple carbs such as bread, limit pasta.
#2. Put a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in water, 8 ounces and drink. Do this 2x a day. I worked myself up to a tablespoon.
I am getting excellent results in 2 weeks time.
Note...interestingly, ordinary vinegar is a no-no. I found Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with "mother" at my local Shop Rite....Hope this helps someone...

Hi saph another lovely side effect of the disease. I am dealing with bloating as well. I am using acidopholous and also the dr recommends metamucil every day. I have also used magnesium citrate supplement to avoid constipation. Im so sick of trying to navigate the delicate balance of the disease. It is very tricky. You can also try reading Burrascanos guidelines. He recommends NO starches or gluten. No rice potato and bread etc. He recommends veggies green esp and protein. Fruit he feels has too much sugar. But the fruit I do continue to each. I would say his guidelines work well for me. I cheat sometimes but try to stay on board with it for the most part. Yogurt too..and I like easily digested foods.

My symptoms came roaring back when I stopped the abx. I needed to take a break for a few days but by day four my neuro issues came through bigtime. My Dr. recommended trying to take a break to see how you are doing but keep the abx on your counter in case things start to go downhill. Made sense to me.

LOL! "I'm still shocked that men can get yeast infections." Although I'm of the other sex, I do understand!! Quite a shocker! LOL!!

Why were you told to avoid fermented foods? Are you having issues with Muscle cramps/spasms/twitches?

Kefir is a fermented food, but not in the traditional sense. It's more of a culturing rather than fermenting. Once you know how kefir grains work on the milk, you'll understand better most likely. There are a lot of sites with this information on the internet.
