Hi - I have been so sick for six weeks. My doctor actually told me last week that I was "just getting better and really tired". All of my symptoms seem to point to Lyme. I had a bullseye rash last summer, but thought it was a spider bite at the time and had no other symptoms. Could it take this long for Lyme symptoms to appear?

I need a good doctor - anyone have recommendations for the NYC area? I am in Westchester County. All of the seemingly reputable lyme literate doctors have bad patient reviews. Any thoughts would be most appreciated -

sorry that you have to deal with this..
I am also in NY and have some experience with a few of the well-known lyme docs here. That means I also have some comments and strong views!!

Hey Trish - I just changed my options to show my email, so hopefully you will have it now. Thanks so much for your response and willingness to share your experiences! I see you have been a member since October, so you are well ahead of me in the game....hoping that means you are well on your way to recovery, as well!

Welcome Gebby. A bullseye rash is proof positive you have Lyme. Symptoms can come out right away or they can take years to rear its ugly head. I live on LI so I have some experience with docs in the area as well. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
