Odd symptom (?)

Bartonella can cause neurological symptoms and (according to our LLMD) is most likely the cause of our daughter's PANS - pediatriac autoimmune neurological syndrome (caused by an autoimmune inflammatory brain reaction), one of the symptoms of which can be OCD. Did this feel OCDish, or were you actually seeing 7:48? Have you tested positive for co-infections? PANS can also be caused by strep, mycoplasma and some viral infections.

Wow, people probably chuckle when you tell them this, but it's caused by a serious infection so it's not funny. I have had problems just doing simple things because of clinically diagnosed depression so I can see how the brain can affect simple reasoning. My Lyme diagnosed husband does have cognitive issues with memory but not that...at least so far. I am curious about the mycoplasma being a possible reason for this. Toby was not tested for any co-infections so I am watching for symptoms that might be indicative of something like Mycoplasma. They say many people who served in the military have that. He did serve in the navy. How did you get tested for the co-infections? Did an LLMD diagnose you? I hope your treatment will help remedy this for you.

I've gone through that, and it's terribly frustrating to operate on your own clock when it differs from everyone else's! I'm not real sure which infection caused me to do this, as it was before I was in effective treatment.

I also did this with words - both written and spoken. I would hear (really!!) something other than what was being said. It lead to a few fights between my hubby and me before I realized what was happening!! LOL! Good thing we have a strong relationship! Giggle!

I can tell you however, that it does go away!

Thanks HeathersDad. The Twilight Zone is precisely what it seemed like. I started referring to it as "Groundhog Hour" but the Twilight Zone is more like it. The episode with the train that kept going around in circles.

I am so praying I will not look for something that's in my hand while out in public. I have done that numerous times in the privacy of my home. LOL. Don, I will need to look at the Twilight Zone link. Toby loved that program so I will show it to him. I try to distract him as much as possible with humor...watch funny movies, etc. Joe, I think Mycoplasma is serious business. I read that a lot of ALS patients, especially ones who were in the military, had Mycoplasma as a co-infection.
