WELCOME to the forum! I am sorry to hear that your daughter is sick, but it is good that you caught it early. I saw your other posts. I agree that 3 weeks of antibiotic treatment may not be enough to stop it in its tracks. Your doctor is making a risky assumption with your daughter's health.
You live 20 miles north of Manhattan, New York? I'm sure that somebody on the forum will recommend a lyme-literate physician to you, and email it to you. Please provide an email address in your members info. Healingwell has an email service that is free and easy to activate. We don't allow posting the names of LLMD's to protect them, although last name initials may be used.
I would encourage you to take a look at the thread entitled "New to Lyme?....Start Here" at the top of the thread column. It has a discussion of a variety of topics that are helpful to be aware of for anyone with this illness. Please pay particular attention to the section on detoxing. The microbes excrete toxins that cause a lot of the symptoms from the illness, and even more so when they die-off. An effective detox regimen will improve your daughter's experience on her healing journey.
If you find a lyme-literate physician there is every reason to expect that your daughter will soon be on her way care-free once again. Please keep us updated.
