homeopath or naturopath in central or southern NJ

Do you want a homeopath or a naturopath? I'm just asking because a lot of people consider them the same, but homeopathy is form of medicine. There is a spot to search for one in your area, but I couldn't access it for some reason. It's my favorite medicine.

A naturopath is like a general practioner and they can do several modalities. Homeopaths can too, but homeopathy takes up most of their time since choosing a remedy can take a while. They have to hear your mental, emotional, and physical problems in order to choose the right remedy for your body on the whole. I need to work with my homeopath on a more consistent basis.

I forgot to add that a homeopath can work with you from anywhere. They will often use skype. There's one in Seattle who works with people all over this country and other countries. If they feel you need to go in for tests or something else, they will advise you to do it.

I haven't kept up my appts. with my homeopath since I was diagnosed over a year ago. I wasn't doing many treatments since I had to be available for my mom, but she has since passed away and I've been doing more treatments. Being with her the 2 weeks she was failing took a lot out of me, so I finally did an appt. with my homeopath. I told her I was tired and had no energy to speak of and that my heat tolerance was very low, my memory was bad and other odds and ends of symptoms, so she chose a remedy for me and the next day I felt better. The heavy fog lifted and I could think better and my energy and mood was better. I need to check in with her again to see if she wants to repeat the same remedy or move on to another one.

I think those initial treatments are what kept me from getting a lot worse from my Lyme infection. I haven't been too bad with it, but the stress of my mom's decline for 3 years made it worse, but still not really bad.

I was very ill in my late 20s, practically bedridden most of the time. MDs told me I needed to get a life (2 or 3 said that), so I wasn't sure what to do since they didn't believe me. A neighbor had introduced me to homeopathy, so when I saw a class for it at the community college, I signed up for it and after just 2 or 3 classes, I was ready to try it since it made so much sense that everyone presents different symptoms to the same illness. I had chronic yeast and bladder infections that no allopathic treatment would heal. I happened to get another bladder infection, so I went to a different homeopath since mine was out of town and he gave me a remedy and I haven't had a bladder infection since, knock on wood. Over the course of treatments, I continued to improve and came out of it feeling better than ever. I don't know if that was a Lyme infection or not, but a lot of symptoms fit it. I worked at a job where I had to spray lacquer once in a while and that's what started my decline and may have been the whole problem, but I'll never know. I just wanted to show how powerful it can be. I've aborted many a flu bug with it. Our cat had distemper when she was about 9 weeks old, and homeopathy saved her. The vet told me not to expect much when her liver started failing. I chose a remedy that fixed that and took her in the next day, much to the vets surprise.

I haven't had a homeopath as good as him since he moved, so I'm considering contacting him to see if he would work on my daughter and I. I don't know for sure if it will help with it all, but it should help quite a few things. I have yet to meet a Lymie who has used it.

Thank you for your condolences. It was a tough time to go through, but I was glad to do it for her.

I hope you find a good one. Since homeopathy is based on one's own symptoms, they can do a lot without knowing the cause, as I showed by not having any more bladder infections or yeast problems, etc. It just stimulates your own system to fight, rather than directly kill. I forgot to mention that I had daily headaches too, which cleared up and I still don't have them unless I overdo it in the yard.

Antibiotics would really set my mom back whenever she was on them. She would practically lose the ability to eat and had to have a therapist show the aides how to help her. She wouldn't hardly talk and couldn't sit up. I thought I was going to lose her several times, but once I brought a homeopath on board for her, she would snap out of it until this year. There was one week where she was in bed most of the time, not very responsive at all and she wasn't eating much and that's when I started with the homeopath. Since she couldn't tell the doctor what she was feeling, we just had to go with our observations. She chose a remedy and gave it to her and told me it was one of the slower acting ones, so not to expect any change very soon. Well, she never told my mom that, because within 10 min. she woke up and told me she thought the medicine was doing something. I didn't even think she was aware of anything going on around her. The next day I went over and she was sitting up straight, feeding herself and swallowing fine, talking and laughing. I didn't expect such a big change. It never ceases to amaze me what it can do, but this year, the antibiotics won and took her life. I wish I would've had her tested for Lyme too. If I could've gotten her to use a homeopath before her decline 3 years ago, I think she'd still be here. A side effect of her BP med was loss of sense of one's self and place. That was pretty much how she ended up after 2 years on the drug, which she didn't need. Then the diet at the care home wasn't very good and contributed to her decline too. I tried my best to educate the owner, a nurse, but it fell on deaf ears.

Well, I'm OT again! Sorry. I don't know if homeopathy alone can stop Lyme, but I do know it can help with it some at least. If I had it back in my 20s, then it did a lot. One symptom I never mentioned to my doc was that my knees bothered me. I could barely squat or kneel any more, but it was a minor problem compared to everything else and I never even thought of it, but it went away during the course of treatments and to this day, they still don't bother me, knock on wood!
