Anyone have a Heavenly Heat Sauna?

Hi everyone! I've evaluated so many different healing tools at this point and have decided on an in fared sauna. It's currently between Hightech Health, Clearlight and Heavenly Heat.

The only reason clear light is in the running is that Ive actually tried one and know that the combo carbon fiber heater is a bit more of a gentle heat, I'm worried in the Heavenly that we might feel like we had high intensity heat heat beaming on us. The construction, non toxic build is all superior. I still haven't 100% figured out what to make of Hightech because I've heard their heaters are just metal, like on your stove.. Though they say that they are metal coated ceramic...

Does anyone have a Heavenly Heat sauna?

I find it very gentle and it works very well. I installed it in our basement and my husband put it together in about 4 or 5 hours. He says it would have been faster if the basement had more floor space.

If I had to do anything different I would have found the money and space for a larger one that I could lay down in. I did buy a backrest on Amazon which helps. Without a backrest you really can't lean back which can get hard when you're in there for 30 minutes.

We have a Sunlight (name may be different now), but haven't used it very much due to the fact that my daughter can't take the heat around her head and it bothers me some too. Neither of us sweat enough. I've seem some models that don't have the panels all the way to the top, so those might help.

I liked the sound of this brand, http://www.oregonhottub.com/finnleo-sauna-s825 . One problem we found we have with ours is that the plug gets hot. I asked about it and was told we needed a dedicated plug. That would've been nice to know before we bought it! I also found that it was made in China when we got it, so I wasn't thrilled about that either.

I don't think the one I linked you to has to have a dedicated plug. I think any that don't have the panels all the way up will take less energy, but check into it.

You might look into Bio Mats too, if you haven't already. They take up less space and are portable.

LoveHealth, did you note ANY chemical smells when you first got your sauna or ever during it's use?

Garden, biomats don't make me sweat, and that's what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestions

I am super sensitive to smells and there was nothing. I really find it a great sauna and it's gentle and easy to use. I asked my husband who has a better memory then I do, he said he remembers it smelled more like wood when it was new, but not chemicals.

Cedar would be the most bothersome to sensitive people.

Some people do get a sweat up with the bio mats. We'll have 2, so we could sandwich ourselves. ;) I don't sweat very easily any way, so I couldn't stay in the sauna long enough. I'll be using the mats for pain relief mostly.

Mine isn't made of cedar it's Fir which is what I think most of the good ones are made from

I forget what ours is made from. It's light colored and didn't hardly have any odor.

I'm super chemically sensitive and the Heavenly is made of poplar, the only wood that doesn't produce phenols.. No emf, absolutely no glues, plastics, stains or varnishes. Lifetime warranty. Plus the owner is so responsive and answered all my questions with great detail. So, we decided to take the plunge and order today. I'm so excited and cannot wait to get t!

I tried both the heavenly heat and clearlight and ended up with the clearlight. EMF was a big thing for me and they were both low EMF and I found the feel of the heat better in the clearlight. they have a combo heater and it really works well at low temperatures.

whichever one you get, use it often. that's what I found to be the key.

Garden, your comment about not tolerating the heat around your head was very intuitive. I went to my doc today, which I completely owe my fast track toward wellness to and he says no sauna around your head, so I cancelled my order. He did hyperthermia studies and he says emphatically that you should not use systems that have your head inside. He has not steered me wrong yet, so I'm trusting him.

Hmm...interesting. There is this type, http://www.sunlightsaunas.com.my/new_solo.htm . I have no experience with them and have never met anyone who has used it, so it's just an example. There may be others like it.
