Lyme? LLMD in Montana?

Good Day,

I am new to Montana, but not new to undiagnosable health concerns. I know many people with Lyme have been through a gauntlet of tests, but did not get properly diagnosed until much later in the illness. I am hoping to avoid further issues for myself.

I have had numerous Lyme tests, but I have not been to a LLMD and I am having difficulty finding one in Bozeman, MT. This is slightly ironic as I am from MN, which is Lyme laden, but my symptoms didn't really point to Lyme - until after I moved from MN - and maybe they don't. Hard to say.

I'm not sure if Lyme can come on slow as well as turn on and off; this is what I have experienced. I have had some tendonitis for 13 years that seemed to relate to repetitive motion injuries from rock climbing and telemark skiing.

During those 13 years I have had some random and inexplainable occurrences such as vertigo and odd fatigue problems that my Primary Care Physician couldn't tease out and terrible tendon healing.

Recently, I have had tendonitis/bursitis show up in 7 different areas: bilateral elbow pain (golfer's elbow), and more of a traveling tendonitis in my legs and right hip. 3 of which are very new and unusual. I have tons of muscle pain from extremely light exercise and my recovery rate is about 5 days.

These tendinopathy issues have spiked due to incredible emotional stress from my father's death from GBM brain cancer. Other things that have surfaced and seem more Lyme related are headaches, neck ache, dry cough, body aches, some disorientation, a couple of random fevers (similar symptoms to Pontiac fever), and irritability.

The last three days have had some frustrating family business things occur and my stress has run rampant. Around 3pm during the day all of the symptoms in the prior paragraph have showed up at once(typically the symptoms are more random and unaccompanied).

A couple of notes: I've tried some diets including a gluten elimination diet for three weeks and I am not gluten intolerant. This could be an auto immune disorder, but I want to rule out Lyme first. I have been bitten by many American Dog ticks in my youth, but from my knowledge never a deer tick (cannot be ruled out though) and I have never had a bullseye.

I have read many posts and I want to thank all of you who have posted their experiences in order to help others. Very altruistic and compassionate people guard the halls of these forums. Thank you.

If anyone has some ideas or a LLMD in Bozeman, MT I would absolutely love it. I want to step up my pro-active approach asap.

Sounds highly suspicious for lyme. Especially since nothing else can be found by docs. If you can't find one closer , email me for info on one in Seattle.

Just so you know you aren't alone, this has mirrored my own experience. The last year has been hard because I felt like I had some sort of creeping crud moving up my body. It started with my legs and worked its way up. I have had about three months of positional vertigo (if I tilt my head up to the left everything starts moving clockwise) that seems to be going away now. But the bilateral tendonitis is frustrating. I can't roll over in bed without pain, but I can't sleep in one position. Both elbows, outer sides of knees, hips, rotator cuff area, collarbone, and feet. I am using Banderol, Sauvento (cat's claw), Pinella, Olive leaf extract, artemisia, and a timed release magnesium supplement, plus a fantastic vitamin/probiotic supplement called Celiact. I am experimenting with some herbal muscle rubs gently massaged into the painful tendon areas to see if that helps.

For what it's worth, last month I reached the optimal dose on banderol and samento (20 drops) and had a rather dramatic herx for 24 hours. But after that 24 hours I woke up feeling like new money. I was able to go up and down the stairs at home 6 times in one day, something I wasn't able to do for the last year or two. I felt as though I had driven away the lyme from the upper part of my body. But since that herx, I have found the tendonitis to be more noticeable, almost as though something else was "cushioning" it before the herx and that's now gone, so I am more aware of the tendonitis.
