Western Blot IGG band 23 reactive

Got my results Friday and (according to quest) everything was non-reactive except IGG band 23. Of course they consider that a negative result. But I am wondering what causes IGG band 23 to be reactive. Any input?

Also I should add that I have found a local doc to run a western blot through igenex in the meantime. It was for Lyme, bartonella, babesia and mycoplasma pneumonae (sp?) I have not gotten those results yet.
But should I expect the igenex results to be any different than the quest results?

One other thing- this same doc also decided to treat me for candida. In your opinions, would treating underlying candida overgrowth be beneficial at this point? I know Lyme loves candida correct?

Nicole, yes you can expect with IGenex you'll show more reactive bands as their test is more sensitive than Quest and other labs. Also, they test for more bands like 31 and 34 which Quest throws out which is absurd. My IGenex WB results compared to other labs were night and day though that's not the case for everyone because it still depends on your immune response and other factors. Bart and Babs testing is highly inaccurate whatever lab you use though the FISH test increases your odds of getting a positive should you have them.
