aphysicalwreck & Wryter,
I have been using pure unrefined shea butter for many years. It didn't prevent my skin from getting wrinkled not long ago, but it's the only thing that can somewhat 'feed' my skin, but it needs a LOT. Shea butter is known for restoring elasticity. I have been a bit negligent lately, maybe that's why all of a sudden my skin is much worse. Being at its worst state now, shea butter is the only thing that feeds it enough. One of its characteristics is that the skin absorbs it easily, it doesn't stay 'on' it.
I put it on at night after a shower, sleep with it (makes me feel like an oiled wrestler), and then take a shower in the morning with not too much soap). I'll try to use it 3 times this week, I hope it'll make it better.
If you would decide to use it, be sure you take the unrefined kind of shea butter.
