LLMD believes I may be having a bartonella flare as my arms are burning beyond belief.  Running blood work and some tests.  In the meantime, i found this very interesting article.  and what have I been living on - fresh summer fruit and have even indulged in icecream the past few weeks.  Strange huh???

Awesome, thanks for sharing! I've noticed the same thing - I feel worse in general with sweets though I never related it to bartonella, but I do have much worse bartonella symptoms with fats...I've been having plenty of both for a while now and am a big ball of burning limbs and agitation.

Red root is a pretty awesome herb too - they call it "new jersey tea!"

No I am not going to try the herbs. Burning limbs is a totally new symptom for me so I was just so shocked by reading the article about the fruits and ice cream. Borderlyme, you have had the burning limbs? Is is a skin type pain??

I usually get burning sensations on my arms after even the slightest heat exposure, and then I'll get covered this ridiculously itchy bumps. Lately I've been getting an underarm rash too - doesn't seem to have much to do with heat but it's so painful and itchy!

I stumbled upon this thread... I'm having a huge Bartonella flare... feel like utter crap... sorry for my words...

Can almost not stand on my feet... rest of my body feels like run over by a truck, not so much my joints (they hurt, but not overwhelming), but my muscles are killing me. Can't walk up straight... some very tender burning muscles along my spine, shoulders.

I can now distinguish Bart and Lyme symptoms - yay for that I think  eyes    in some odd twisted way...

Springjean, that article is really enlightening about eating icecream - I've been sinning with ice cream... apparently tested myself without knowing I did...

I need to try Houttuynia... but scared to death for the herxing... the wimp is back yeah

Hi Marie,

Ice cream was always lethal for me sad

It encouraged bouts of pain that were intolerable.......I LOVE ICE CREAM.

As for Houttuynia if you manage to source it here in Europe,please let me know,I would like to try it and see how I react.I've searched everywhere with no luck at all.

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling so poorly,better days are on the way.............if we only knew when.

I often think that if we knew that after X amount of time we would be on the road to recovery,it would make the suffering far more bearable.

Although I'm still doing well,I certainly noticed that last full moon,it shook me up,Ifelt as if somebody had hit me with a wet kipper smilewinkgrin

it's difficult - 1st chinese h don't deliver to Germany nor Belgium...

I'm searching on French sites now... not easy... maybe order from China.

I really want to start it...

Tickled, some kind of outlook on the duration of treatment would be sooooo welcome...

The only thing that occured to me was to buy it in England,I'm off to London next Wednesday.....I'll look and if I can get some, I'll bring some back for you.

I could always throw it out of the train in Brussels, LOL

Maybe next spring. Be carefull though, it seems hard to eliminate once it grows... lots of info about that too - lol.

You might find Houttuynia in your garden for the rest of your life...

That would be great if you could get it in London, 1st ch h sends to the UK I think. I'll be ready to catch it, and wave at you at the same time. Or I'll let hubby catch it, then I can wave properly - lol smilewinkgrin

Soooooooooo, I've found Nutramedix Houttuynia drops which can be delivered Europe wide,directly from the company's site.

However,we need tea,don't we? or can we take it in this form? confused

I've also found a large Japanese supermarket near Oxford Street,I will be visiting it,I'll find the tea if it kills me!

I searched in Dutch, French and English, Houttuynia/Yu Xing Cao/Dokudami (yes, even in Japanese), I was getting desperate for those leaves . I've been ordering a lot through the German online Apotheke!

I'll order tomorrow (they even offer you a free tick removing set when buying a certain amount).
