Hello Folks
I have had this stuff making my life miserable since the beginning of the year. The symptoms have come and gone and changed over time. I seem to have lots of neuro related symptoms such as headaches, tremor, difficulty with memory and speech, spasms in the legs and last but not least, ringing or more accurately squeeling in the ears. It seems to be stronger on the right than the left but it is often loud enough to hear over television and radio sound and makes it hard to understand other people. I also get a feeling like there is pressure in my head and my ears are a bit stuffed. I know the tinnitus is very common with Lyme.
I have observed that I can predict or gauge how bad my symptoms will be based on the volume of the noise in the ears. Has anyone else experienced this? I would assume it is related to the attack of the bacteria on the brain and CNS...I am now starting to experience pins and needles and numbness in hands and feet. Today, the right side of my mouth feels like I have has a shot of novacaine. This is new. Has anyone experienced this? Its quite disturbing!...I am scheduled to see a Rheumatologist, after a four month wait to get an appointment, this Monday. I had blood test results that were positive for Antinuclear Antibodies and Sjogrens SS A. My PC doc referred me for this consult. He thinks its probably positive due to the Lyme. My Western Blot Test was considered negative because I only had one pos bar...41 AB IGG By WB...But, I understand such tests to be unreliable. When this bloodwork was drawn, I was taking doxe and flagyl...
Ok, enough ranting and whining...I just wonder if this all sounds familiar to you "veterans"...The sudden onset of this numbness is scary. I had another months supply of doxe and flagyl and have restarted it again after being off for a month...I also started supplements as recommended by people on this forum...Thanks, Frizz
