Has anyone else noticed symptoms get worse at that time of the month? I feel horrible at that time!! Doc says it is common for that to happen. Anyone else experience this??

Oh yes, I fall apart!
I read somewhere that hormones increase inflammation, which us feel worse. Good times! Ha.

I have had problems with my cycle since I have had lyme disease. When I do get my period the pain is terrible. I never had any complaints before.

I've always had horrible periods, even before lyme but yes my lyme symptoms did 'flare up' during that time. So far so good off of treatment though!

Same thing - I've always had irregular and difficult periods but they became a nightmare when my TBDs manifested. I ended up getting a Mirena IUD inserted. My periods have stopped completely as opposed to lasting seven days with an accompanying seven day migraine. It is only the IUDs with hormones that reduce or eliminate bleeding. The non-hormonal ones make it worse.
It is a massive relief not to have a cycle anymore.
I had nausea the day of the insertion and ended up throwing up into the Doctor's trash can. I'm hoping she might start to believe in chronic lyme disease now!

Lyme brought me my first period in over a year. I have an IUD. After not bleeding at all since last July, I have been having all kind of annoying menstrual-type stuff going on for a month now.

I had so many problems before, during and after my periods after starting treatment my symptoms are worse only after my period, but they are still really bad.
