Is there really a difference in Sea Salts?

Himalayan Pink Salt is the purest and safest. Has 84 trace minerals. I have started taking it daily with food based vitamin C.

I've used Himalayan salt for several years. Some sea salts are from polluted areas, so they're not a good choice.

I went to Trader Joes and they had the pink Himalayan Salts. But the container was small :-( thanks for the information everyone. Very helpful!

You're welcome. I ordered from them and should get it early in the week. There may be other sources that pick out all the darker salt chunks to sell, but I don't mind the mix of tones like they are naturally.

You're welcome. I thought it was an interesting site too. I got my order yesterday, so that was prompt service. I do live in the same state too, so others won't get it as fast.

I have some Celtic salt that I use too. It has a stronger flavor than Himalayan pink salt and it's a moist salt.

I ordered the Eucalyptus Bath Salt as I love the scent of Eucalyptus plus I ordered the Ancient Ocean Himalayan Pink Salt in fine.  I think next time I order I am going to get the Black Truffle Salt Fusion and the Cyprus Black Lava Salt...  So many different types to choose from!

Although new to the group, I just got an email from someone stating that a treatment of vitamin C and salt . The protocol can be found at www.lymephotos.com.

"After 13 years of suffering with Lyme disease, a possible cure has been stumbled upon. A cumulative effect of much research has produced the possibility that salt and vitamin C may be all that is needed to beat this elusive illness. Without going into a lot of detail, our theory is that Lyme is not just a bacterial disease, but also an infestation of microfilarial worms. Bacteria, worms, internal mites and the possibility of other creatures have been quite horrifying. Ticks can transfer many types of pathogens into the body of their host. It is also possible that the tick could pick up a new pathogen and pass it on to their next host, explaining why Lyme patients have different types of organisms within their bodies. Shortly after starting the treatment, we were shocked by the presence of the worms. Microfilarial worms live symbiotically with bacteria. They protect the bacteria from being exterminated by the antibiotics. We think total daily dosage should not exceed 18 grams of salt or Vitamin C per day, and 15 grams would be the average adult's dosage for a full 24 hour period. If the pills cause a problem they can be crushed or dissolved in water. To get an idea of the dosage, one teaspoon equals 5 grams; thus, one tablespoon would equal 15 grams. Please remember to drink plenty of water. "
