Sure www.wawaza.com. It is a tea - imported from japan called dokudami tea. You can also now get it in the powder form at www.1stchineseherbs.com

A question to those of you who drink houttuynia tea: How much tea can I make at once before it spoils? The instructions at Wawaza.com say to make 4 cups, but can I make enough for a day or two without losing its effectiveness if kept refrigerated? Is the 4 ounces enough for the whole day or is that the amount I should drink in one serving?

Believe it or not, you can also find whole leaf Houttuynia on Amazon!! LOL!

My practitioner had me make only 1 days worth at a time - it's a potency thing. And be sure to only allow it to steep for 10 minutes.

I was told to use 3 cups a day (1 cup, 3 times a day) - using only 3 grams of Houttuynia for each 'batch' of tea that I made.

This herb can be quite strong for some, causing some pretty intense herxing, so please do be careful!!

Thank you all. When I ordered from the site I did not notice that it was in Japan. When the box arrived, I saw the label in Japanese and the customs tags. So cool!

I am saving the box so that one day when I get better, I can remind myself of how far (distance) I had to go to get better.

I provided the link earlier hoping that people wouldnt pay for the nutramedix one. The one I just bought costed about the same, but it's 3.38 ounces, compared to 1 ounce in the nutramedix product.

No need to get offended. Sharing is fine. I'm just trying to save people money. IMO that particular nutramedix product is a ripoff.

Does anyone here tincture their own, or know of someone who does? I grow houttunyia cordata and I've tinctured many other herbs, but not this one. Not trying to sell anything, it's for my own use.

Hi hew,
Have you made tinctures before? I don't think there is much difference in how to make this one - although I healed using the herb (not the powder), making a medicinal tea.
