Ok thank you for the advice. I am def concerned with more testing because as many are, we are completely financially strapped with 5 kids and living on an EMS salary with only my husband working right now. It's no secret, paramedics make pennies :(

Def have testing done before abx. You can go to regular MD or walk in treatment center to get a slip for a blood draw. Igenenx testing lab said they like you to be off abx for three weeks before they test. So if you can test first that would be good. The abx will help you right away. Also false negatives are common so dont be discouraged if it comes back negative.

I took the IGenex test a couple weeks into treatment(while on meds), and my test came back positive yesterday. I had a clinical diagnosis, but the paranoid side of me kept doubting it, so I went back for the test.

Thankfully, seeing it in black and white quieted down the "what if it's(insert fatal disease of the week)" voice that's been in my head forever...Wonder if the other voices will miss that one ;) I think she was the ring leader, so maybe they'll all shut up now. I haven't heard from "omg, I'm dying" either...so here's to hoping. Lol.
