Does anyone have information regarding the new iSpot Lyme test? Is it in circulation and being used to test for Lyme yet? Does anyone have information regarding which labs are using it?

Yes it's available now from Pharmasan Labs. I've seen on another forum the price is around $340. Here's the site:

My LLMD just had me take it - according to the test, I'm in remission for Lyme....after 5 months of antibiotics and herbs.

Now to tackle the Bart....

He tested me in his office - not sure and don't care how much it costs as I'm hoping it's accurate....not sure if insurance will cover it. will let you know tho.

I haven't read anywhere that this test can tell when one is in remission. I don't believe that this test is designed to be able to determine that. Does anyone have any links they can share about this?

Travelor-- Thats what my dr said! He seems really knowledgable. All I can say as my symptoms seems to have gone (except for the sleep problems and apparently thats from Bart?)

So my symptoms confirm what the test said. Seems like my dr has used it many times before (and he was expecting a reading of 2 to 10) -- based on my symptoms fading. I sure would like yo believe him...

Well, no matter what the limitations of the test are, I'm sure glad to hear that you are feeling better!!

Yes, it would be wonderful if this test also was able to determine when a person needed still more treatment - but I'm a skeptic, so I'll wait to see the proof.

Yes, I am very interested in this ISPOT test to determine if I can stop treating borrelia.  I've been on abx for 6 years.  I'm much better, but I'm worried about abx resistance.

I've made an appointment in a few months to visit an LLMD that does this test.  If it's possible to tell if I'm in remission, this would be great!  I'm probably overloaded with yeast since I do crave sweets.

Anybody else have any experience with this test?

Thanks to everyone who responded. I had a high negative ELISA and a positive WB, so just thought I'd try iSpot to see if I get a positive. If anyone else has any experience with it, would love to hear!
