Rocephin IV How Long??

The simple answer is everyone is different. LLMDs believe it has alot to do with the length of the time you were infected and your genes, your immune system, synergistic coinfections, vitamin deficiencies, etc.

Ive been on Rocephin IVs twice. The first time I noticed a remarkable 100% reduction in all of my Lyme symptoms in about 6 weeks. No side effects (besides severe Herxing) The stuff was truly fantastic. I really thought I was cured. After about 2-3 months without any ABX, I had full blown Lyme again.

2 relapses 4 different kinds of ABXs later and Im back on Rocephin. Not just severe Herxing this time, but bad fatigue. After another 8 weeks of Rocephin and almost all of my symptoms are gone. However, I do not want to go off of it. Its working and I do not want another relapse.

No gallbladder issues, but I did have liver problems that are now monitored weekly.

One one occasion my liver simply decided to not absorb ANY magnesium or potassium for two weeks. So severe was the depletion the nurse said she had seen "corpses with more potassium than me". I thought that was pretty funny.

Who said this disease doesnt have any humor? =)

I had a very bad 2-3 month period, but Im feeling much better now. I just think they had me on too many ABXs at once.
