Ever since I started detox a while back, I noticed as soon as I drift off to sleep I suddenly wake up again. Is this due to parasites or Lyme Disease? Or mercury?

Does your body jerk when you wake back up?

Hmmm .... I think my brain mentally wakes me up for some reason ... so yes I would physically move when that happens.

Yeah, I've been getting this for a year. Makes it very hard to sleep.
I get what I sometimes call "brain zaps" and I have an incoherent thought along with a body jerk (could be anywhere but often right leg or neck). This wakes me up immediately and seems to be like some ****** attendant sitting at the doorway to sleep telling me I don't have a ticket.

I hate that! My ND said it was my nerves and they were shot.
I used for one month neurochord (this is strong stuff) I worked up to 5 drops 2x/day. Supposed to detox your nervous system/brain of toxins for one month.
then I was put on magnesium aspartate 3 in the AM 3 in the PM - total of 150% DV. with 30 drops of rescue calm 2x/day and the rhodiola rosea in Calm PRT (which has something else in it.)
The neurochord and rescue calm were both from energetix. Also this regimen was formulated specifically for me so it might not work for others.

Do you drink a lot of caffeine? That seems like a normal thing that happens if you have too many stimulants throughout the day.

Nope - I wasn't on any stimulants at that point not even chocolate.

Same here. I don't even like coffee (would always make it hard for me to fall asleep at night).
So this is due to a problem with nerves? Like adrenal fatigue? It only happens to me sometimes, like during detox. Otherwise I don't really get this problem. Does this mean my body isn't strong enough yet for that particular detox?

With me it is somewhat hit or miss. The jerking has stopped. I still don't always get the most restful sleep but I'm doing better.
I do think it has something to do with healing and nerves being overstimulated or things that the lyme was inadvertently affecting and now the body is dysregulated if it was effected for awhile with lyme.
I did magnesium aspartate 150% DV and a rescue calm formula from energetix. It seems to cycle with me. I'm not sure about
the detox question though.
