Brown age spots/freckles and MORE broken capillaries?

What's up with this? I'm looking so much older these days. It's gotten way worse in the past month or so. My chest looks like I'm 65 and spent the last 40 years in the sun! Plus, little red dots all over my arms and hands. Ugh. What else is next?? Purple toes and green ears??rolleyes

Does anyone else experience this? Do you know if it will go away after treatment?

Is it possible that you have Babesia? I know that many get tiny red spots with Babesia, I did and they were gone by the time I finished my Babesia treatments.

Asada, I have noticed many more brown spots on my body just like you described. I also have the little red dots, although mine are in the upper arms (biceps) and on my legs. Some of them have turned from little red "pimples" into a raised bump that is brown in color. The size of them are probably an 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch and the bump feels hard to the touch. I have them in my thighs, ankle and upper right arm.

What else is next? well, I also have two brown horizontal streaks in my face. They showed up at about the same time as the other brown spots. My skin has also dried up a lot! After trying all sort of body lotions, I found that a coconut based lotion works best for me. My skin is still dry but not as bad as it was before.

I tried organic coconut oil as a moisturizer but my clothes got stained and the oil seeped through the fabric. Maybe I used to much?

As for the spots- I still have them and they have not gone away.

Hmm.. Traveler- I was tested for babesia and it came out negative. Of course, this probably doesn't mean that I don't have it. I'll bring it up to my LLMD and see what he says. Thank you for your input.

Healing- Thank you for your response. I'm sorry that you're going through this too. I thought I'd get through treatment scott-free without any problems to my physical appearance, but boy was I wrong. I don't want to sound vain, but I am just so bummed that this is happening. I'm thinking of getting an IPL photofacial after treatment so I can someday return back to my non-red unspeckled chest and face! Can't do it while I'm on photosensitive meds, so it's going to be a while, but at least there's an option to make it go away.

I have the little red dots. My Dr said Babesia...They come and go. Let's all get better!!

I have the spots/bumps on my arms. I never asked about it because I previously thought it was a side effect from the birth control I was on. But I am not on it anymore and I still have them.. hmmm another thing to ask about I guess

I have red spots all over, but I've had them for years!! The doctor calls them hemangiomas?? Think I spelled that wrong!! But I have very much noticed that I've aged alot in the past year!! It seems like all my "fat pads" are going away with wrinkles left behind!! I'm sorry we have to put up with this!!

Asada - It's always best to err on the side of caution when dealing with even one of these infections!

Dr. James Schaller says this about Babesia testing: "No blood smear will be positive for Babesia unless you have a profoundly massive number of infected red blood cells, which is rare. Therefore, no blood smear should be considered negative unless it has been examined for thirty minutes."

Lymerunner - those fat pads going away and leaving wrinkles can be the ACA rash that is due to Lyme disease. It could resolve as you heal.

Brown age spots are also called 'liver' spots as it may have something to do with all the toxins your liver is processing from the Lyme. I got greyish spots on my hands and two black spots on the inside of my lips when I began Buhners herbal treatment (and I am in my thirties!) They came on in the first month of treatment and I haven't gotten any more since. I went to the doctor because and she took a biopsy. I was scared it was cancer because of the black/grey appearance. The biopsy came clear. It is really weird. But I haven't had any since so I wonder if it just had to do with the massive toxins from all the Lyme and Co being treated...

I have both the red spots, and other skin spots that are a little darker than skin color that have started to appear on my face, arms, and back. I went to the Dermatologist about them and he said not to worry about them unless it was caused by a more serious illness. This was a year and a half ago. Now that I have been diagnosed with LD I wonder if that's what he was referring to. Wish he would have said it. I could have started researching much earlier.
